30 smashed to death in deadly accident along Lagos-Ibadan highway

No less than, 30 people have been pounded to death in a lethal car accident along the ever-bustling Lagos-Ibadan highway late Thursday night. 

Spokesman for the Federal Road Safety Corps, Bisi Kazeem, who affirmed the incident to newsmen in Abuja, said the accident happened at in regards to 8pm at Km 95 around the Elebolo Quary Area on the Ibadan hub of the road.

As indicated by him, 10 different people were harmed in the crash including 40 people and two Mazda transports. 

"The crash happened at a construction site, and it came about because of course and speed infringement. 

"This has additionally underscored the Corps Marshal, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi's recommendation to drivers to stay away from night ventures, be watchful around construction locales and drive inside affirmed speed limits," he said. 

The FRSC spokesman said save operations by the FRSC officials, who landed at the scene minutes after the incident, finished at 2:42am on Friday. 

He revealed that the bodies were stored at Adeoyo Yemetu Hospital funeral home, Ibadan while harmed people were taken to the University College Hospital, Ibadan, and Adeoyo Yemetu Hospital for treatment.
