Biafra: We have no issue with IPOB in Anambra – Police

The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Princess Nkeiruka Nwude, has said that no capture of members of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been made in the state.

She said members of the gathering had been peaceful and approaching their normal organizations inside the state.

Nwude told the Nation newspaper: "The order had no issue with IPOB members since after the prohibition.

"Members of the gathering had been stowing away since the prohibition in the state, while the offers of IPOB badge, flags among others are never again being shown at open places."

In any case, the gathering has raised an alarm that the government was arranging another round of slaughter against the members.

This was contained in a statement in a which was sent to reporters by Emma Powerful, Media and Publicity Secretary for IPOB.

As indicated by the statement, "IPOB Intelligence Unit has revealed expound plans by the administration to implicate IPOB members so as to legitimize their controversial and disagreeable banishment of IPOB with the going to ridiculous tag of terrorist association against a world perceived peaceful development."

"The legislature has made plans to initiate another round of their occasional genocide of blameless civilians crosswise over South East and South-South, inside the following couple of weeks under the cover that IPOB is a terrorist association."
