Yoruba elders are the issue we have – Fayose

Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose has blamed some Yoruba elders for conflicting with the continuous requires the rebuilding of Nigeria.

Fayose made this claim on Thursday in Ibadan when south-west leaders met at the primary bowl of the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingb.

As indicated by him, "They need us to discuss reality or falsehoods. In any case, we will state reality. They can discard the words, yet they can't discard us. Our fathers, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Sir Ladoke Akintola and other Yoruba leaders, attempted their best for us.

"However, you elders of Yoruba are the issue we have. We are our issues. We've had great gatherings like this one, went to by elders and rulers of Yoruba.

"After this summit, you will see some supposed Yoruba leaders saying on TV 'we don't require rebuilding.' To me, those words don't bode well. There is no option; we will backpedal to regions."

A pioneer of Pan Niger Delta Forum, Chief Albert Horsfall, in his comments, noticed that the general population of his region began rebuilding long back, including that fomentation for rebuilding of Nigeria relies upon control of physical energy by every region.

He expressed that every region ought to have the statutory rights to control "what you create or what your dirt produces."
